Pursuant to MARINA Advisory No. 2020-42, the extension of deadlines shall be given to all examinees under STCW Circular Nos. 2014-08 to 13 and 2016-17 (Old System) who has exceeded the two (2) years prescribed period (expired theoretical examination records) during the period affected by COVID-19 pandemic to complete and pass the theoretical examination.

The three (3) months extension in NCR examinees shall be reckoned from the date of lifting of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) while in the MARINA Regional Offices (MROs), it shall be reckoned from the date of resumption of theoretical examination in the respective MRO.
